Philippe Weisbecker is a frenchman born in 1942. Graduated from Ecole national superieure des Arts Decoratifs in 1966. He moved to New York in 1968 and commenced his activities as an artist and illustrator. Currently, his studios are located in Paris and Barcelona. His illustrations have been published in world famous newspapers and magazines including The New York Times, TIME, Newsweek, The New Yorker, The Village Voice, Casa BRUTUS, Esquire Japan, Le Monde and Elephant Magazine. He has done much advertising works and has been awarded The Tokyo ADC Award on two occations, The Yomiuri Advertising Award and The Ashani Advertising Award in addition to The Clio Award, a silver medal of The New York ADC Award. He has held over 50 exhibitions, mainly in New York, Paris, barcelona, Brussels and Tokyo.
